Don't you know that this is a fairy tale, and all fun and pretence; and that you are not to believe one word of it, even if it is true?  

 I inhabit my own little world. I like to spend my time inspecting wardrobes, looking glasses, fireplaces, rabbit-holes, and generally painting the town house red. I think a lot - too much, maybe - about everything. Seriously. From trying to figure out the sex of that one Snoopy character and thinking how rad it would be if people randomly burst into song, to the oxymoronic nature of the universe and contemplating the principles of anarchy. I'm a bit odd. And boring. I'm idealistic, and wanted to marry Peter Pan when I was four. I like to dance like no one's watching, and I breathe music. I read fantasy books because I secretly think that they might really be possible - I have a strong affinity and belief in the Otherworldly. I like to pretend I'm a rock star. I'm bad at self-summaries.

Some of my favorite books, in no particular order - Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Lord of the Rings by Tolkien, Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander, Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy by Douglas Adams, the Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis, the Faerie Wars books by Herbie Brennan, the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede, the Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliet Marillier, Tithe by Holly Black, War for the Oaks by Emma Bull, Stardust and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, The Seer and the Sword by Victoria Hanley, the Guardians of Time trilogy by Marianne Curley, Magyk by Angie Sage, Beauty by Sheri S Tepper, East by Edith Pattou, Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith, what I've read of the Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper, anything by Francesca Lia Block, anything to do with fairy tales or mythology....I could go on, but you probably got the point after the first five books. XD I'm also into manga, and some of my favorite series are Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Alice 19th, Sand Chronicles, Vampire Knight, and Inu-Yasha.

The world is full of magical things patiently waiting for your wits to grow sharper.
